The Ennejma Ezzahra Palace in Sidi Bou Said is renowned for its stunning interiors: ornate white stucco work, painted and carved ceilings and rich marble floors and walls, evoking the golden age of al- Andalus, interpreted with a Tunisian flavour.  Built in the early twentieth century by orientalist artist Baron Rodolphe d’Erlanger, the palace forms the backdrop against which the baron could display his collections of artwork and objets d’art, an eclectic array of ceramics, glassware, rugs, mother-of-pearl inlaid furniture, silver objects and jewelleries, copper and brass ware and Japanese prints.

Lavishly illustrated, this collection book showcases a selection of about 175 of the most beautiful and important art works and objets d’art  drawn from across the  collections of baron Rodolph d’Erlanger and his family , supported by insights gained from the palace archives, supplemented by anecdotes and stories about the two generations of d’Erlangers who appreciated these treasures in their daily life.
